Nectar vs Saatva : Mattress Comparison Chart
This table offers you a sneak peek of all the key features both Nectar and Saatva have to offer. A detailed review is given below.
Nectar vs Saatva : Mattress Construction
While Nectar comes with 5 plush layers of memory foam, Saatva is an innerspring mattress comprising 5 layers. But innerspring may feel like the same old mattress, which has been used since the last century. So, when Nectar has all the tech advances to ensure each layer is crafted to perfection, Saatva is putting a new marketing spin on an innerspring mattress. Nectar is 6.5 inches on the firmness scale where as Saatva is between 5 to 7, which can confuse some. Coming to thickness, Nectar is 12 inches thick and Saatva is 11.5 inches thick.
Material and Construction:
The first layer of the Nectar mattress is the breathable cover with cooling gel technology, which helps wick away any heat. With Saatva, you get a pillow-top cover, which is 3 inches deep. But without any cooling. The second layer of the Nectar mattress is a pressure-relieving gel-infused memory foam layer. This plush layer conforms to your body shape. And since the mattress is medium-firm, you don’t have to worry about sinking in deep inside the mattress! Coming to Saatva, the second layer is the zoned gel section. While it is designed to support the back, there are chances it may lead to aches in the morning. The third foam layer of Nectar allows continuous airflow and ensures a better spinal alignment. Saatva comes with steel coil layers. The bounce it offers may not suit everyone. The last two layers of Nectar are curated to ensure the mattress is durable and prevents the mattress from sliding. The fourth layer of Saatva comes with high-density foam rails to offer edge support, but motion transfer and the risk of the mattress sagging become a reality. Finally, Saatva offers another layer of coils that offers more bounce. Were they going for a mattress or a bouncy castle?
Firmness:
Nectar scales 6.5 on the firmness scale, whereas Saatva falls between 5 to 7. While Nectar is just right at medium-firm, making it suitable for all types of sleepers, even couples with different sleep needs, Saatva may feel too soft for some and can feel a little stiff for others.
Thickness:
The Nectar mattress offers 12 inches of luxury, making you feel like you are sleeping on the cloud and enjoying the best night’s rest. Saatva, on the other hand, is 11.5 inches thick.

We love the mattress. My husband had spinal surgery 2 years ago and it’s been very comfortable for him to get sleep and also relax when he’s in pain.

I bought all 3 of my children these mattresses and I cannot say enough about how great they are. Lightweight and still completely bounce back to form. –
Saatva Review
Verified review
Luxury firm king mattress has slumped completely on both sides after only three years of normal use. Replaced the mattress and box spring for 99$, but mattress has started slumping again after only 6 months. My back has been in pain every morning after sleeping on this bed. I know it’s the mattress because I travel regularly and do not have back pain when I wake up after sleeping on other mattresses. After contacting Saatva they stated they could not issue a refund. Don’t buy a Saatva mattress, they are not constructed to last.

King bed. Only one side now adjusts. I crawled around checked all the wires. Check. Batteries working in remote. Check. But still failure. Lopsided. Frustrated. Especially bc I can’t find warranty claim Info online.

My partner and I purchased the mattress last spring after reading all the wonderful reviews. I ordered the Luxury firm mattress which is the flagship middle bet not to soft and not to firm. This mattress is way to firm. My body does not conform into a supportive position. Lower back ached and upper shoulders very tense. I did put a memory foam cushion over it but did not help. This mattress has been moved to the guest bedroom. I did call to have the plush delivered but it was a delivery fee of 150.00 and I think another fee. I ended up getting a foam overlay instead thinking that would soften or ease up the tension. I do like the thickness of the mattress very regal look. The padding overlay is beautiful. I just wanted to advise whomever is deciding if you like just a little cushion the luxury firm is extra firm.
Conclusion
The truth is in. You cannot beat the Nectar mattress on price, warranty, trial, or comfort. It offers complete comfort that makes you want to sleep like a baby. With Nectar, you also won’t have to worry about the budget because you don’t end up spending a bomb. So, if you are looking for the best sleep, comfort and support, Nectar is here for you.
