  • Material and Layers

The Nectar Premier Mattress gives you more than Casper. Nectar comes with an innovative cooling technology breathable cover which helps wick away excess body heat, whereas Casper original mattress is all base layer and no cover. Further to the cover, Nectar Premier Mattress has a layer of CertiPUR-US certified gel memory foam for contouring ans pressure-relieving support. Casper, has a thin layer with little holes for airflow. Further, the mattress is divided into 3 ergonomic zones to relieve pressure and provide spinal alignment. Contratry to this, Nectar Premier provides 3 inches of responsive foam which allows airflow, rebound and bounce and promotes spinal alignment. For Casper Original now comes the base, yes you heard it right- the base that prevents sinking and sagging. And, here where the Casper has declared its end- Nectar Premier Mattress still has two layers to go- seven inches of foam that works as a stability base layers and keeps all the layers intact and reacts to body’s changing temperature to keep the sleeper comfortable. The shift resistant lower cover which keeps the mattress from sliding and the inner layers from shifting here and there.

  • Firmness

Nectar Premier mattress comes with the firmness level of 6.5 which falls under the category of medium-firm. Medium-firm mattresses are the best for all types of sleepers and body-types. In fact it is the best for people with back pain, as it provides rebound and bounce and better spinal alignment. The Casper Original mattress comes with the firmness level of 6, which is medium-firm and uses immovable zones that may not fit your needs.

  • Thickness

Nectar Mattress Reviews

“We bought a medium firm Nectar Premier Mattress a few months ago. Since we hadn’t bough a mattress in 20 years I was very worried, but my husband and I have not slept better and no sore shoulders or hips. It has been life changing!! Highly recommend!”

“We bought two Twin XL Nectar Premier and two adjustable bases to make a split king. My wife and I can’t believe how comfortable of a bed this is. The best sleep we have had in a very long time!”

“It’s been years since I bought a mattress for myself and I was very worried about buying one I’d never laid on! I’m a heavy-set woman with back issues and lots of arthritis as well. After doing some research and reading many reviews, I decided to take the plunge and I ordered the Nectar Premier. Was a bit difficult for me to unbox and spread onto the frame, but I managed (much better than trying to manage a regular mattress!) Slight smell initially as they stated, but I left my fan on for a couple hours and it dissipated quickly. Any trace of smell was gone by the time it had fully expanded. I definitely feel the softness (which I prefer) yet feel very supported at the same time. Dogs seemed to like it too 🙂 I did find that it was a bit more difficult than my older mattress to “transfer” (roll over/change sides). I’m a side sleeper and usually wake up at some point during the night having to “flip” due to pain. I’ve recently had bursitis flare up in my hip which has caused me not to be able to lay on that side, but I tried it last night anyway. I was shocked that it did not cause me any pain! I’m a hot sleeper as well but found even with the mattress cover I also purchased from Nectar, I stayed comfortable all night. Very pleased with the purchase. Thank you!”

“Made my back pain 100 times worse. I’m 6″ 225lbs, maybe I am too heavy for this mattress. But it was a nightmare. The mattress lasted 1 week in my room, and that was a significant stretch in keeping it that long. I wanted to pull it after night 1. Now it needs to sit against the wall in my hallway for another 3 weeks.”

“The original mattress is not the real original as they added a layer which makes it soft and in no way firm. Very disappointing unable to sit on it without feeling I am sliding off..”

“Truly one of the worst mattresses I tried, second only to the Casper ‘Original Hybrid’. I returned both. For someone who deals with lower back pain, this mattress, which is supposed to represent one of their most firm mattresses, offered subpar support. There is no body contouring nor firmness, just soft unsupportive foam that feels cheap. Perhaps if back pain isn’t a main factor in your mattress purchase, it is a viable option, but if fitness and support for your back is of utmost importance, I would strongly advise against this, or any Casper mattress. In addition, their return policy makes it very difficult to coordinate returns. First, they make you keep the mattress for 30 days before accepting the return, which as someone who could barely last two nights on their product, was entirely intrusive. Then, when you are eligible for return, they ask you what days and times are convenient, but then outsource the return to a third party company who tells you what day and time they will be in your area, and that is your ONLY option to have the mattress picked up for return. So my being home and available 4 out of 7 days a week meant nothing, and I had to stay home from work to accommodate THEIR pick up schedule. All around awful experience with the product, the company and customer care.”
