Nectar vs Ghostbed : Mattress Comparison Chart
This table gives you a quick look at all the best features both have to offer. But let’s unpack more and understand the mattress construction, pricing, warranty, and more!
Nectar vs Ghostbed : Mattress Construction
When it comes to a Nectar mattress, it is made of 5 layers, and the Ghostbed is made of 4. Nectar is 6.5 on the firmness scale and Ghostbed is 7.5. Coming to thickness, Nectar is 12 inches, whereas Ghostbed is 11 inches. Let’s understand more.
Material and Construction:
A Nectar mattress’s topmost layer comprises a breathable poly-blend cover that offers heat-wicking properties and cooling technology. So, when you are in a deep slumber, it keeps you comfortable and cool. Coming to Ghostbed, like Nectar, has a breathable cover made with a stretchy blend of viscose and polyester, but no cooling technology exists. So for a while, the covers may feel cool, but as the night progresses, you may feel hot. The second layer of Nectar is 3 inches of cushy, high-density, pressure-relieving gel memory foam, which conforms to your body. It offers pressure point relief and prevents any aches and pains, and the third layer is 2 inches of dynamically adjusting bounce-back foam, which supports your body’s need to relax into a deep sleep. The second and third layers come with responsive latex and gel-infused memory. You get a springy feel here, which may not be everyone’s cup of tea! Here, Nectar offers you an additional layer compared to Ghostbed, which is the fourth layer. The 7-inch layer of standard foam ensures the comfort and support layers above it perform at their best. Finally, the base layer ensures the mattress stays together, no matter how much you jump on it. It also offers support and durability. The last layer of the Ghostbed is made of foam.
Firmness:
Nectar scales 6.5 on the firmness scale of 10, which means it is neither too soft nor too hard. This firmness scale is, therefore, suitable for all types of sleepers. In fact, couples with different sleep needs can also opt for Nectar due to the ideal firmness level it offers. On the other hand, Ghostbed is 7.5 on the firmness scale, which can feel a little hard.
Thickness:
The Nectar mattress is thicker than Ghostbed at 12 inches, whereas the latter is 11 inches. The thickness of the Nectar mattress offers a plush feel and adjusts to the shape of your body. Also, the thicker the mattress, the more durable it is.
Nectar vs Ghostbed : Warranty and Returns
Buying a Nectar mattress means you will never have to worry about a thing because they give you a lifetime warranty. But with Ghostbed, you get 20 years of warranty. Both Nectar and Ghostbed offer free returns.
Nectar vs Ghostbed :Financing
If you are looking for financing options, you can find them at both Nectar and Ghostbed. However, Nectar offers financing at as low as $58 per month, whereas Ghostbed offers financing at $84 per month.
Nectar vs Ghostbed : Size & Pricing
There is a vast difference in the pricing of Nectar and Ghostbed. While Nectar offers many features and an additional plush layer, the mattress starts from just $359. However, a Ghostbed starts from $995, more than double what you will pay for a Nectar. More price and fewer features don’t sound like an ideal deal here.

Nectar Review
Verified review
The only problem you’ll face when you order this mattress is convincing yourself to get up On the morning. We’ve even skipped coffee because we were so unbelievably comfortable when we woke up!

We bought a medium firm Nectar Premier Mattress a few months ago. Since we hadn’t bought a mattress in 20 years I was very worried, but my husband and I have not slept better and no sore shoulders or hips. It has been life-changing!! Highly recommend!

This bed is just amazing, me and my husband both are disabled, he fell 30 feet and it left him in a lot of pain, he has a 12 inch rod in his back, his right elbow is pinned and plated and a 7-inch screw in his left foot, I just went through 2 major surgeries in 6 weeks, one on my neck and my lower back. This bed is wonderful, I adjusted the frame so it is like zero gravity, I couldn’t imagine what it would be like on our old bed. It really does help a lot for our pain, I just want to say thank you for having a great bed, I love it and wouldn’t give it up for anything , I never give a review but I just want everyone that has pain to have a Nectar bed and finally get a good night’s sleep.
Ghostbed Review
Verified review
Hard, uncomfortable, big waste of money.
Verified review
I don’t like it. The bed is too soft and causes back pain. I had to put the bed in a spare room because I cannot use it.
Verified review
Not liking it. The mattress is not firm enough for me. Ghost bed replaced a posturepedic firm. I was looking for something different and this was not it. I have tried to return it twice but was told that I must wait a minimum of 30 days. I told the csr that I am not using it and it is in the garage and that my mind would not change if it was 100 days. She did not seem to care. I just wanted to return it. Now I just want to get rid of it. Should have done more research before my purchase of the Ghostbed.
Conclusion
The reviews make it quite clear who the winner is. Nectar makes sleeping a joy, and you wake up each morning with a smile. Its firmness lands right in the middle, a sweet spot for an amazing sleep. With Nectar, you get to enjoy the plushness and the comfort of a luxury mattress, which is super budget-friendly.
